Is it the short 58 seconds encounter?

Is it because it is smaller than they thought?

Or is it the lack of intimacy?

The elbowing? The pushing?

Or is it a classical example of a social-media void of glorified materiality, objectifying happiness, elevating psychosomatic discontent and promoting capitalism? Laughing out loud, as most would say.

 

Holding her behind bulletproof glass, the Louvre is one of the most visited places on earth, thanks to the most valuable artwork on earth.

Eighty percent of visitors, according to the Louvre’s research, are here for the Mona Lisa — and most of them leave unhappy. How did she become a pilgrim? And why is the most praised artwork in the world causing so much disappointment?
