Diné
The Navajo Nation is the largest reserve in the US,
and is home to nearly 300 000 residents.
More than 1/3 live without electricity, paved roads, cell phone service, landlines, safe housing and many don't even have clean running water. Not to say that indoor toilets are luxury. The region has one of the lowest levels of education in the U.S. and is often compare to The Sub-Saharan region.
Granted by the most exquisite natural sites in the country as well as many resources, who is to blame? Some will manifest that the monetary help from the government is responsible, while others will state that the Navajo Tribal leaders are corrupted. But the situation is long going and it seems many generations yet to come will face the same deadlock.
